Roaming Screening Tour ( Phase I )

Project: Roaming Screening Tour (Phase I)
Duration: From May 2007 until December 2007
Funded by: CFD, the NGO for women empowerment (Switzerland)

Starting June 15, 2007, TAM carried a roaming screening tour, to screen nine documentaries produced within our project ''Palestinian Women Oral history'' phase I. This roaming screening tour was called "Qessasohon", and its aim was to give the opportunity to the spectators in different West Bank towns, villages and refugee camps to watch the 9 documentaries on a cinema screen, near the places where they live, and then to create a public debate on the life experiences of those 9 women featuring in the documentaries so as to show positive role models of women in the Palestinian society.

These nine documentaries are:

"From the Memory" ( Men al Thakera ), "Kelzar", "Aziza", "The Palestinian Fatima Al-Jade'a", "Aisha", "Om Ghanem", "Fatima", "My Existence" ( Kayanee ), "Nadia".

More than 90 film screening took place in different West Bank towns, villages and refugee camps besides one screening that took place in East Jerusalem.

The arrangement for each screening was planned in partnership with other local NGOs and a number of women centers and institutions like: "The Palestinian Working Women Society", "Women's Development Society for Rural Areas", "Health Working Committees", "Tulkarem Children Cultural Center", "So As Not to Forget Institution" in Jenin.
