Mission and Objectives

Mission

Our general mission is to participate in building an independent, modern, democratic Palestinian state that settles freedom and equability built on principles of Human Rights, through cooperation with the local media.

Our Objectives

To empower Palestinian women by using media as a tool to raise the awareness of Palestinian society around women issues.
To raise the social, political, and economical position of the Palestinian women
and to raise their self esteem by networking with the appropriate local and international institutions.
To involve the gender issues in the media productions.
To observe and change the classic stereotyped image of women.
To increase the number of women working in media.
To increase the number of female decision makers in the media sector so as to play a role in the interior policies in the media institutions.
To raise the professionalism of media staffs.
To empower the media people and train them on gender issues, human rights & democracy and their application in media productions.
To produce media materials that include gender issues and to broadcast them through the different media forms.
To raise the quality of media productions and broadcast in the media institutions that agree with our objectives.
To create more space in media for gender issues in general, and women issues in specific.
To empower women and the needy categories of the society, emotionally, socially, politically, professionally and to give them a real opportunity to express themselves.
To highlight sensitive issues in the Palestinian society and open public discussions on these issues ignoring the taboos.
To show positive models of women who challenged traditions and social, political, economical and intellectual beliefs.
To enable feminist leaders to make public and media speeches.
